Photography
My interest in photography started when I was on an east coast tour with my band Spine. Our guitarist had a film camera and we stopped by a photography store in NYC so he could get some film. I decided to grab a disposable camera just for fun to document the rest of the tour. I enjoyed having it with me to snap quick photos and it was exciting to bring it in and have no idea how the photos would turn out until you have them in hand.
There's something special and unique about film photography compared to taking photos with your phone. I think the moments you capture feel more precious to you. The act of taking the pictures is so much more enjoyable. It's very satisfying to open a shoebox or a scrapbook and flip through them all and you end up spending more time reflecting on those memories and those parts of your life.
